All Aboard tje Polar Express
This trip was so much fun. We went sledding all day and then got on the Polar Express Train. The replicated the movie. We boarded the train and starting heading toward the North Pole. On the way to the North Pole they served hot chocolate and cookies that Mrs. Claus made. They read the Polar Express book. It was amazing and very magical. Once we got to the North Pole, Santa and Bernard his head Elf were outside waiting. Bernard was checking the naughty and nice list. Santa boarded the train to see all the children. He called out Jake in fromt of everyone and said that he was on the naughty list this year but would give him one more chance to redeem himself. LOL! The kids could not believe it. Santa took time to talk to every child and handed them his magical bell. On the way back to the train station we sang Christmas carols and had a lot of fun. The kids got to sit and Santa lap and talk to Mrs Claus. This was one of the best trips. The kids were so amazing to watch as all the excitement unfolded.

Christmas Tree Cutting!!!
Whoo Hoo we found a tree.
I took this picture because soon as we got out of the truck Dalton said this is the one he wanted to cut down for our house. LOL!!! If I had to guess this tree was probably like 40 feet tall.
We decided this year to go up North and cut down a tree. We needed a big one because we have high ceilings. (Thought this would be the cheaper way to do it considering the tags were only $15 and not to mention a good family adventure) We were having a blast hiking thru the forest looking for a perfect tree and also stopping for a couple family photos. After hiking a while we decided to drive further in the woods to see if we could find bigger and better ones. As we are driving we come to a point in the road where a big tree had fallen. Off to the side was basically a quad trail going around the tree. Jake being the adventurist he is says "I can make it". I chickened out and the kids and I got out and stood on the road to watch. Make a long story short Jake got the truck stuck in the snow and almost rolled it. It was on 3 wheels and teetering back and forth. We were stuck and stuck good. We had no service on the cell phones and no one near by. Jake walked down aways to see if we could find help. Of course there wasn't. We ended up getting out after 3 hours of loading the back of the truck with wood to try to balance it and a lot of prayers. On the way home he also got a speeding ticket. So the tree ended up costing us alot more in the end. But hey this is one trip we will never forget. Ahh the memories!!
